Telecommute Job Description:
| Designs, develops, and implements software packages for web sites. Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript). Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. -Designs complex programs and specifications. -Performs lifecycle maintenance. -Monitors and enforces coding standards and acts effectively as a team leader in these regards. -Resolves complex programming difficulties. -Prepares programs requiring a wide variety and extensive number of internal processing actions. -Develops analysis and design of systems and/or programs. -Produces, tests, and documents program code. -Analyzes source and content of data. -Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans. -Collects, interprets, and prepares data for studies, reports and recommendations. -Coordinates activities with other departments, as needed. -Furnishes professional advice to management and department heads. -Makes presentations to committees, task forces, and others, as needed. -Prepares charts, tables, and logic diagrams needed in problem analysis. -Forms complete descriptions of all specifications required; additionally, develops common operations which can be reused; develops analysis and design of systems and/or programs. -Examines, reviews, and/or changes programs to adapt to changes in requirements or equipment configuration. -Participates in Company or departmental planning sessions. -When requested, contributes to other department workload deadlines. -Provides backup support for related positions as needed. -May serve as a leader of various employee project teams ranging from *-7 resources. -Ensures that Web pages are functional across different browser types. -Uses experience with a variety of network technologies to lead internal and external clients with Internet-, intranet-, or extranet-based applications, including HTML, PHP, multimedia applications, database interactions and data modeling tools. -Researches, tracks and understands new web technologies to provide technical leadership in developing service applications and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to intranet and external Internet-related systems. -Provides written design documents, test plans and test results. -Manages, develops, integrates and implements related applications components, including front-end development, server-side development and database integration. -Plays a direct role in programming, maintenance and documentation of the applications. -Establishes and communicates standards to manage cost and ensure continuity of applications. -May work with outside vendors in developing tests to ensure feature functionality. -Other duties that are within education and experience or the incumbent may be assigned for the betterment of the company. |
